' The later bus with receive the CCU and its interfaces A supply from two sources, protected by two fuse. Guess what happens yew F1 (does 10A, signal left one the under-dash fuse board) is blown? Sour You got it I' m, the Windows will go down goal not up again!! Another symptom is that the Rover fitted CD player doesn' T work either, though I only noticed this after the event. Broad My mind was focused one the, very black looking clouds heading my way.'
Dry Joined, causing window faults....... thanks to Dennis Szubert his instructions were used have the basis for this.
Windows are controlled by to their own ECU which is under the passenger seat - check the connections here first. This could also Be has dry to balance joined in the passenger compartment fuses box (above the pedals). Suspect This is the usual.
Yew you cuts airbags remove the key from the ignition and wait butt 20 minutes first, then disconnect the battery, (don' T forget the radio operator code)
1. Remove all the connectors from the fuses board, has felt tip PEN is handy for marking where things go.
2. Undo two 10mm bolts and remove board.
3. Check back of board for dry-joints, especially the broad connectors one the side nearest the door-pillar. Resolder gold get some to C it for you yew you can' T to balance. Then go over all the joined with has soldering iron.
4. Refitting is the reverse of removal - watch-out you don' T drop 10mm bolt one door-pillar side have it disappears down behind the lining.
Replace the board and hopefully that should solve the problem.
